Archiving topic causes it to be flagged as unread

Can’t quickly find a way to stop archiving marking the topics as unread so I guess I just won’t be archiving topics, at least for now. (FYI I wanted to archive those topics which were fully resolved so we can have a new discussion when something similar occurs.)

I agree it is best to clean out all those type of posts.
Can’t you just do a query to update all archived topics as read after an archive?

I suspect the authors of the forum software (Discourse) had some use/workflow in mind and I’ll try aligning with it first. It looks like it might be just the author of the topic that has it flagged as unread https://meta.discourse.org/t/best-practices-for-archiving-topics/27069/7 and that’s IMO.
